Usability Versus Accessibility
Usability is the measure
of the quality of a user's experience when interacting
with a product or system whether a Web site,
a software application, mobile technology, or any
user-operated device.
Tupson helps you create usable,
effective web sites and web applications. We offer
a full range of training and usability consulting
services to help you build a powerful and user-focused
web site that works for both you and your customers.

Accessibility
(Section 508) requires that Federal agencies' electronic
and information technology is accessible to people with
disabilities. 508 compliance refers to section 508 of
the amended Rehabilitation Act of 1998.
This law extends to the Web
the same legal guarantees of access that all physical
public amenities must provide. The law now requires
that new federal Web sites and some existing ones make
their content and functionality available to people
with motor, visual or auditory disabilities.
